The MVR process consists of five steps: heating, compressing vapor, condensing, discharging warm liquid, and concentrated waste disposal via an agitated thin film dryer (ATFD). This cost-effective method is suitable for industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, and petrochemicals. Read our blog and learn more about 5 step process of mechanical vapour recompression.

Mechanical Vapour Recompression: A 5-Step Process That You Should KnowAbout ------------------------------------------------------------- Did you know there are 13,500 MLD (Megaliters per day) of wastewater generation by manufacturing clusters?Treating wastewater environment and reducing energy consumption.Ifwastewateris notmanaged properly, it can create havoc in the natural habitat andcreateserious illnesses. isanessentialstepin protecting the To do so, a zero liquid discharge solution is required. One such solution ismechanical vapour recompression. The primary purpose of this process isto recycle waste heat to enhanceefficiency. Whenyou doso, itreduces the factory pollutants by more than 95% and converts the wastewater into disposable crystal waste. This crystal waste is compressed in volume and is easy to dispose of in an ecologically sound manner. Let’s look at the 5 step process of how MVR can optimize wastewater in the most efficient way possible: Liquid heating The Wastewater is first preheated by condensate. To recover the condensate energy, that same water isthenpassed through tubes using recirculation pumps. Vapor compression As the water flows, it is heated by the recompressed vapours. AnMVRevaporatorcreates recompressed vapours that cause the wastewater to reach its boiling point. Vapor condensation The hot mixture then goes to the separator, where the remaining droplets are separatedfrom pure vapour. The vapours are then drawn into the compressors and are compressed to higher temperatures and pressures using electrical energies. Warm liquid The vapour is then discharged in the heat exchanger, which gives latent heat to the wastewater in the tubes. This process continues on a loop.
Disposal Concentrated wastewater is then fed to ATFD(agitated thin film dryer). ATFD is widely used in a variety of industries to dry heat-sensitive materials. It converts the wastewater into dry solids, which can then be disposed of in an eco-friendly manner. An MVR is an efficient solution to all wastewater disposal problems. It is cost-effective and can be used ina variety ofindustries, such as food and beverage, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and metal.
