Everything changed.
The faces, the eyes, the people …
There were many victims …

Her husband was a teacher. He died saving four young students.

An embrace — the last act of a teacher.

Children …
Babies …
Her …
And him …
And them …
We are waiting …
For rescue …
For treatment …
For food …
For refuge …

But we will never give up.

Saluting the people who rescued me from the ruins …
And we will never let go.
They gave on their wedding day.
She gave.
He gave.
