  3. Fungi Cannot . . . • make their own food, since their cells have no chloroplasts.

  4. Then what is a fungi? • a mushroom • mold • yeast • mildew

  5. Where do they get food? • They absorb food from dead things or from other living things. • When you see mold growing on food, the mold is eating that food to survive. • Mushrooms growing in dirt get nourishment from the soil.

  6. Fungi are . . . • neither plant nor animal! • in a group all by themselves!
