The goal is to increase the understanding, appreciation, and interest in materials science for K-12 students and members of the community. The kits are based on structure/property relationships and demonstrate how materials science is used in real-life applications and technologies. The “Exploring Materials Science” Mobile Kits were used at several of CRISP’s Education and Outreach events, including Classroom Visits, “Be a Materials Detective” Workshops, CPTV Family Science Expo, and The Discovery Museum. “Exploring Materials Science” Mobile Kits used at several of CRISP’s events Christine Broadbridge, Heather Edgecombe
