Letting God Heal You from all your hidden hurts.
E N D
1.The first step begins whenIREVEAL MY HURT. You’re never going to get well until you face your feelings straight on. Psalm 39:2-3 “I kept very quiet but I became even more upset. I became very angry inside, and as I thought about it, my anger burned.”
Ps 32:3“When I kept things to myself, I felt weak deep inside me and I moaned all day long.”
James 5:16 (MsgB) Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with.
2.If you want to get well you have to REPLACE OLD LIES WITH GOD’S TRUTH Romans 12:2 “Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”
1PE 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
1 Peter 2:23 “When Jesus suffered, He did not threaten to get even. He left His case in the hands of God.”
Hebrews 12:15 “A bitter spirit is not only bad in itself but can also poison the lives of many others.”
4. If you want to be healed from your hidden wounds you have to REFOCUS ON THE FUTURE.
1 Peter 1:3-5 (MsgB) What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, [4] including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! [5] God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you'll have it all—life healed and whole.
1 Peter 1:21 (MsgB) It's because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God.
The principle is: Getting free and staying free means letting go of the past and moving into the present.
Proverbs 4:25 says, “Look straight ahead with honest confidence. Don’t hang your head in shame.”
