  2. Igbo • Ethnic group living in Southeastern and South Nigeria. • The Igbo people are one of the most influential ethnic groups in Nigeria. • Due to the migration and Atlantic slave trade, Igbo people are found in Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.

  3. It is unclear where the Igbo people got their name from, some theories indicate that it came from the word onigbo, meaning slave. • They speak Igbo, which includes Igboid languages and dialects, now a majority also speak English. • Their main crop is the yam, cassava, and taro.

  4. Chinua Achebe • Albert Chinualumogu ("May God fight on my behalf“) Achebe • He was born on November 16, 1930 to Christian parents who lived in the Igbo village of Nneobi. • is married to Christie Achebe, and has a three children. • He became partially disabled after a car accident in 1990.
