Self-Questioning Strategies • Generating questions to guide thinking while reading. • Strategies: • Question-Answer Relationships • I Wonder… Statements • Request • Paired Questioning
Paired Questioning • Take turns generating text-related questions and responding to them. • At the end, one person summarizes and the other agrees or disagrees and justifies. • Can use titles/subtitles, paragraphs, or whole sections of text. • Discussion is encouraged.
