tumor markers tests Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to spread to other parts of the body. There are more than 100 types of cancer such as: lung cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, skin cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and lymphoma. As the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, according to WHO, cancers account for approximately 14 million new cases and 8.2 million deaths in 2012. In response to the cancers, the body or the tumors themselves can make substances previously not existing in the body or elevate the levels of some pre-existing substances, such as AFP, CEA, PSA. These substances found in the blood, urine, or body tissues of a person with cancer are termed as tumor markers. Thus far, more than 20 different tumor markers have been characterized and are in clinical use. Along with other diagnostic tests, testing for tumor markers can screen high-risk individuals, confirm the diagnosis and predict prognosis. Periodically measures of tumor markers during cancer therapy can monitor and guide the treatment. Measuring the tumor markers after treatment can check for recurrence. Along with the international efforts to conquer cancer, Creative Diagnostics makes it available to identify the cancers in early time with its testing kits as follows: • CEA (serum, stool) • PSA (serum, whole blood) • Hb (stool) • Hp-Hb • Hb,Tf (stool) • TSH (serum) • FRT (stool) • Calprotectin • HPV 16/18 • Alpha Fetoprotein (AFP) • Bence Jones Protein https://www.cd-diatest.com/tumor-cancer-markers-tests_ds13
