Assignment scenario • You are an e-commerce consultant • You have been commissioned by Business Matters (the UK's leading SME business magazine) to write an 800 word article about the impacts of e-commerce • They want the article to be illustrated and well referenced so that their readers can obtain more detail about the topics • The style should match that of articles on their web site
Task LO 2.1 and 2.2 • Write an 800 word article about the impacts of e-commerce on a small business • You need to consider the benefits and disadvantages for both the business and its customers • Make sure you cover: • Global markets • Competition • Legislation • Growth
M1 and M3 • M1: You have to research and reference all the material you are going to use in the article. This will be judged on the quality and relevance of the relevant material • M3: To achieve M3 you must produce documentation to the correct format for a magazine article. Correct terminology must be used, but explained if it is not common parlance. Paragraphs should be short with clear headings describing the content. Illustrations should relevant, placed near the appropriate text and be clearly labelled
D3 • To achieve D3 then you have produce a concise article, covering a lot of facts in an unfamiliar format and style. You need to think about how best to transmit your ideas and facts in that style
