Lead Implementors – November 2009 • Status of the Discovery Layer • Index Data selected • Seen as a solution for the broader ETD • Working on the migration of MetLib • to Index Data’s federated search • Index Data informally selected • Wider “Educational Technologies Division” interested in Index Data’s software • Discussions Occurring about How to Pay For DLTF Work Using a Broader Scope of Work Status of Discovery Layer ITN Status of Discovery Layer ITN

  3. Lead Implementors – November 2009 • Drop-in replacement for Metalib • Coverage over the same databases • Faster results • Newer generation technology • Interface will mirror existing OhioLINK services • Implementation due end of December

  4. Lead Implementors – November 2009 Additional Steps for Discovery Layer • It is envision that components will be added to the MetaSearch to evolutionarily grow it into a full discovery layer • Full implementation not expect till summer of 2010
