  3. Born 570 Mecca, Arabia (now Saudi Arabia) to merchant family • Accepted as last prophet of God • 1st revelation was a night in the month of Ramadan (610 CE) from angel Gabriel • Wasn’t believed so fled to Medina but returned & conquered w/followers • Died June 8, 632 (Medina) Muhammad
