Through prayer, finite man taps into the power of an infinite God
While the people of Israel were still at Rephidim, the warriors of Amalek attacked them.
9 Moses commanded Joshua, “Choose some men to go out and fight the army of Amalek for us.
Tomorrow, I will stand at the top of the hill, holding the staff of God in my hand.”
10 So Joshua did what Moses had commanded and fought the army of Amalek. Meanwhile, Moses, Aaron, and Hur climbed to the top of a nearby hill.
11 As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage.
12 Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on.
Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset.
13 As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.
The power of prayer is really the powerof Godreleasedthrough prayer
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
The power of prayer is all-inclusive
“Prayer is the keythat unlocks allthe storehouses of God’s infinite grace & power. All that God is, and all that God has, is at the disposal of prayer.” R.A. Torrey
“Prayer is a cannonset at the gates of heavento burst openit’s gates.”

“Never forget what the Amalekites did to you as you came from Egypt.
18 They attacked you when you were exhausted and weary, and they struck down those who were straggling behind. They had no fear of God.
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
2. Mosessaw those he loved & cared for being attacked& in bondage
4 We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.
5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
3. Mosesrealized he could not be victorious or make advances by himself
