Online Instructor Access Allow Instructors to access course information and rosters via ACEweb
Via ACEweb, Instructors can: • View [selected] course information • View/print course and workshop rosters • Print attendance sheets • Email students • Record session attendance* • Record hours/credits/grades • Submit course proposals *Requires Options Attendance Tracking Module
Instructor Access Settings • To email students, check the View Student Email box on their record. Active Box Checked • ACEweb Access Level: • 0 - No Access • 1 - View Course Information Only • 2 - View Rosters • 3 - View Rosters, Edit Hours • 4 - View Rosters, Edit Hours, Grade • 5 - View Rosters, Edit Hours, Grade, Credits
Logon Credentials Logon ID # Temporary password is first and last initials and 5 digit zip code. E.g. for Chuck it would be ch66502. The instructor can set a permanent password after they log in.
Instructor Log On • Instructor clicks the Rosters link: • Then enter their logon credentials:
Course Roster • Roster information is determined by the RosterFields INI setting:
Emailing • Email 1 student or All students. • Email All Students links use BCC. • Outlook users need to use the Outlook link (uses a semi-colon between email addresses)

Gradebook Restrict Gradebook access on a course by course basis with the Web Grade Book Access Level on the course ACEweb Info tab. 0 - No Access 1 - View Course Information Only 2 - View Rosters 3 - Edit Hours 4 - Edit Hours, Grade 5 - Edit Hours, Grade, Credit
Workshop Rosters • Workshop Rosters have a drop down to select the workshop:
Workshop Rosters • The instructor selects the workshop, then clicks the Show Roster for Above Workshop button to view the workshop roster:
Submit Course Proposal • When the proposal is submitted: • Record is created in catalog table. • Instructor receives a confirmation email. • OfficeEmail Staff receive a confirmation email.

Teach for Us IMPORTANT: Information is emailed to OfficeEmail staff. It is NOT saved to Student Manager
Super Instructor • Doesn't need to be assigned as an instructor to courses. • Can control what access super instructors have. • Instructors search for courses they want to view. • Limit courses a super instructor can view with Instructor Super Limit option.

Super Instructors Instructor enter their search term then click the Get Courses button:
Super Instructors They get a list of courses meeting their search value, with instructor listed. They can interact with courses just like a regular instructor.
Limiting Super Instructors • New feature: will need Student Manager 8.0.019 and ACEweb 3.5.012 • Limit the courses a super instructor can view to courses that match instructor’s Subject Codes list.

Limiting Super Instructors • Searches will only return courses matching the Limited Super Instructor’s subject codes. • If they try to search for courseswith other subject codes:
Special Feature – Customize Listing • Customizing the Course Listing Fields • Applies to all courses Default list: Custom list:
Special Feature – Current vs Past • Current/Upcoming vs Past Courses • By default, all active courses are listed in the 'Show current and upcoming courses' list. All inactive ones are listed in the 'Include courses taught in the past' list. • You can modify that behavior [for all instructors] with the UseEndDate option. The option moves courses to the Past listing on the day after they end.
Special Feature – Current vs Past • You can further modify the UseEndDate option by also using ListLag setting. • Set it to the number of days before/after you want the course moved. • Positive numbers will be added to the course end date so the course stays in the current listing that many days after it ends. • If it’s a negative number, it's moved to the Past list that many days prior to the course end date.
Special Feature – View Waitlist • Allow Instructors to view waitlists • Applies to all instructors
Special Feature - Custom Roster • Customize Rosters for specific courses • Option 1: add additional fields to default (as set in RosterFields INI)
Custom Roster – Replace Fields • Customize Rosters for specific courses • Option 2: replace default fields (as set in RosterFields INI) with a custom set

Final Notes • Many features are newer and may require upgrades to Student Manager, ACEweb, and HTML templates. • Some features require setup in Student Manager. • Many of these features require HTML template setup. • PLEASE CONTACT YOUR ACEWARE TECHNICIAN FOR HELP.
