  1. Material Handling Modules Configuring Your Own Work Cells

  2. Why Use Material Handling Modules? • Pre-designed modules • Designed to fit Motoman robots • Reduce non-recurring engineering costs • Completely documented • Shorten delivery times • Reduce your costs • Create identical cell components for repeat users • Reduce unknowns in the quoting process

  3. What Modules Are Available? • Robot risers and mounting plates • Valve packs • Limit switches for L- and L/U-axis • S-axis zone rings • Light curtain kits • Door gate switches • Light beacon kits • Machine loading interfaces • Top mount cabinets • Palletizing modules • Press brake modules • Case packing modules

  4. Robot Risers • Risers • Available for HP50, HP165, HP200, HP350, HP500, EPL-series • Standard heights

  5. Light Curtain Kits

  6. HP165/200 shown S-Axis Hard Stops • Available for • HP6 • HP20 • HP50 • HP165 • HP200

  7. Door Gate Switches • Eliminates the need for a standard gate latch. This interlock is a “captive key” interlock circuit. • Tolerates a high degree of guard or door misalignment and is adjustable for right- or left-hand operation. • Single-channel or dual-channel Gate Interlock Kit • LEDs on each unit provide visual feedback to the user; special mounting required • Features: • Rating: IP67 • Approvals: CE, CSA, BG

  8. Light Beacon Kits • Vertical-mount, 3-color light beacon • Horizontal-mount, 3-color light beacon • Vertical-mount, 3-color light beacon, with two-tone horn • Horizontal-mount, 3-color light beacon, with two-tone horn

  9. Valve Packs with J Box Interface • Each Pneumatic Module Kit consists of: • Junction box, valve pack, robot interface cable, and a mounting plate for the top of a robot arm • The valve pack components have true plug together flexibility and allow for easy expandability as required • Both the valve pack and the junction box incorporate terminal connections for ease of field wiring. • The valves are designed to meet IP65 (NEMA 4) specifications

  10. Valve Packs with Turck Block Connection • Each Pneumatic Module Kit consists of: • Valve pack, robot interface cable with Turck block connection, and a mounting plate for the top of a robot arm • The valve pack components have true plug together flexibility and allow for easy expandability as required • The valves are designed to meet IP65 (NEMA 4) specifications

  11. Multiplexing Valve Packs • The Multiplexing Valve Module is mounted to the robot’s upper arm and features Invensys multiplexing valves • Available for the HP6, HP20, HP50 and HP165 robots • Each Multiplexing Valve Module kit consists of: • An upper arm valve assembly with a mounting plate, controller to robot I/O cable, and a multiplexing control module to be installed in the controller cabinet • Features true plug together flexibility for easy expandability • Designed to meet IP65 (NEMA 4) specifications with full CE approval

  12. Machine Interfaces • Universal Electrical Interfaces are modular options that can be used with any application with one or two machines • Basic discrete interfaces have been designed with a variety of I/O configurations • The E-STOP circuit safety relay allows the controller or any of the machines to stop the entire cell Part Numbers: Discrete Interface Assemblies: 144658-1 1 machine, 13 inputs/13 outputs per machine 144658-2 2 machines, 13 inputs/13 outputs per machine 144658-3 1 machine, 20 inputs/20 outputs per machine 144658-4 2 machines, 20 inputs/20 outputs per machine 144658-5 1 machine, 13 inputs/8 outputs per machine Note: Interface cables are not included with the assemblies.

  13. DeviceNet Machine Interfaces • DeviceNet Electrical Interfaces are modular options that can be used with any application with one or two machines • Basic discrete interfaces have been designed with a variety of I/O configurations • The E-STOP circuit safety relay allows the controller or any of the machines to stop the entire cell Part Numbers: DeviceNet Interface Assemblies: 144794-1 1 machine, 12 inputs/12 outputs per machine 144794-2 2 machines, 12 inputs/12 outputs per machine 144794-3 3 machines, 12 inputs/12 outputs per machine 144794-4 1 machine, 20 inputs/20 outputs per machine 144794-5 2 machines, 20 inputs/20 outputs per machine 144794-6 3 machines, 20 inputs/20 outputs per machine Note: Assemblies include10M interface cables.
