  1. Disco Biscuits Poster Talia Greenwald

  2. For our final project I wanted to create something that would be fun and interesting to me. I have decided to make a concert poster for the band, The Disco Biscuits for their five day run. The Biscuits are a jam band from Philadelphia and consist of, Allen Aucoin, Marc Brownstein (Brownie), John Gutwillig, and AronMagner. I have been following The Disco Biscuits for years now and have seen them play in numerous states, from Colorado, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Philadelphia and many more. Once this tour is complete, I will have seen over 85 shows (I save all my ticket stubs to keep count.) This year, the Biscuits will be doing a five night run in New York City. The tour begins December 26th-29th at the Best Buy Theatre, and the 31st at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden. I have gone to this run for the past three years. It is was of my favorite shows, mostly because we are in New York City during the holidays. Regarding my poster I would like to incorporate the following elements; the Disco Biscuit logo (which will be the main focus), the dates and venues of the tour, a disco ball (for New Years), and stars or a spacey component. I want to add a stars and space feel because the Biscuits are a jam band, therefore when they play they might go into tangents adding a spacey feel to the room. I would like the poster to completely filled, yet not completely overwhelming. Ideally, I wanted the size to be 11x17, simply because that is the size of most concert posters that are hung up on the streets. If this poster turns out well, I would like to get numerous copies and sell them in New York. I am really excited to begin this project, and cant wait to see the outcome!
