  2. continuous Something that doesn’t stop. It continues. Continue is a verb. Adding “ous” changes the verb to an adjective.

  3. conversation “Converse” means “talk.” It is a verb. When you add “-ation” to converse, it becomes a noun. A conversation is a thing you have with another person in which you take turns talking to each other.

  4. forgotten “forgot” is the past tense of “forget.” Both are verbs. When you add “-en” to the words, you change the word to an adjective. “Her friend was forgotten when she was allowed to play the xbox.”

  6. swimming Swimming is “swim” with the suffix “-ing” added and the final consonant doubled.
