  2. Stage 1: Core Objectives Affected (of 1 through 7) • Core Objective/Measure Affected • #1 “Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) for Medication Orders • #4 “Generate and Transmit Permissible Prescriptions Electronically”

Stage 1 Core Objectives #1 Changes (begin 1/1/2013) • Alternate Measure added • Based on the total number of medication orders created during the EHR reporting period • In Stage 1, an EP may select either measure for this objective in to achieve Meaningful Use • This Alternate Measure will be required in Stage 2
