  14. How Does it Work? • Only one Round 1 AND/OR one Round 2 written test • Either Art Performance OR “Head to Head LIVE” • Either Black & White ORColor Art Performance Students may compete in as many events as they can practically manage.Exceptions:

How Does it Work? • Top score from each team - for each event - is applied to team point total • Winning “Head to Head LIVE” teamreceives 25 team points;runner-up receives 15 points. • Team with the highest score at the end of the meet wins! • ALL competitors’ scores arerecorded and may qualify forHead to Head Finals.

  16. Written Tests: Two 20-Minute Rounds 4 Events Each Round • Round 1: Math, Language Arts, Music, and Real World • Round 2: Science, Social Studies, Art, and Sports & Fitness • 1-6 students per school per event

  43. “Head to Head LIVE!” quiz show-style event • One four-member team from each school • Two 12-minute halves • Teams take turns receiving questions from a grab bag of categories • 20 seconds to answer • Team may “pass” and challenge opposing team for double points • Two-minute lightning rounds at the end • Winning team receives 25 team points/runner-up, 15

Art Performance Events: Black & White and Color Competitions30 minutes each – occur simultaneously • 1-4 students per school for each event • Students will provide own pencils, pastels, etc. • Drawing will be of still life items • Art work and subject items will be left in place for judging • Judging Criteria: Proportion/Scale; Use of Picture Plane; Blending; Degree of Completion/Craftsmanship; and, Style/Individuality/Creativity
