This is the English version of the UM website. Click on the My UM link
You have to log in here. Type in your User ID (for example i123456) and your password. Then click on the Log on button. Click on the Log on button
Right, here we are in your Personal My UM environment. Next to links to information and systems, like EleUM (under Quick Links) the most important part is the menu above as indicated. My Timetable leads you to your personal education timetable. There will be a separate presentation on My Timetable. Click on the Courses link in the menu
When clicking on Courses in the top menu you go to the area with the functions you need to book courses and the place to find your grades! Under Academic Work you will find all your grades and earned study credits. Click on the Course Registration link
Choose Course Registration to start registering for courses. You have to make a few choices if you are/have been registered for more programs. You always need to choose the right academic period. Click in the Academic Period field
Having chosen the right program and period, click the Continue button. Click the Continue button
Under the My Courses Tab you will see the courses you have booked for the specific period. In this case none yet. Under the Registration Cart Tab you will find a list of courses you can book. Click the Registration Cart Tab
To select a course to book click on the rectangle in front of the course code/module abbreviation. Click the Rectangle in front of IER4001
You will get more information on the course displayed below the list of courses. To continue with registration of this course click the Register menu item. Click the Register menu item
The register menu option opens and you have to click Register Selected to continue. Click on Register Selected
To continue registering click the Register! button. But, in this case you see a message saying that you cannot book yet. The time window to book for courses of period 4 is not open yet. In EleUM on the My LAW Tab you can find the booking windows in the Law Deadlines module. Click on the Cancel button
This is what the LAW Deadlines module in EleUM looks like. Registration is possible in the displayed periods. Make sure you book in time! Click hereto continue
If you are able to book courses in the correct time window, you will see the booked courses under the My Courses Tab as displayed above. Note: if you have booked a course you are automatically registered for the first exam of that course. But, if you need to do a resit, you will have to book that seperately. Click hereto continue
To book a resit, go to the Exams menu item in the My UM main menu. Then click Exam Registration. Click the Exam Registration link
Select your program, if it is not automatically selected, and select the correct academic period and then click the Start button. Click the Start button
If the booking window for Exam registration is open, you will be able to book an exam resit; this works similar to booking a course. Now, above you see the message that you get when booking Resits is not yet possible. Check the Booking Periods in the Deadline module in EleUM to find out when you can book resits. Click the Close button
Right, back on the Home Page of the Portal. To find all information on faculty education matters you need to go to the faculty intranet for students called My LAW Click on the My LAW link
Here it is: all information on faculty education matters. Still, you may not find quickly what you are looking for; in that case consult the Electronic Service Centre system eSC. Click on the ‘Find your answers quickly’ link leading to eSC
Welcome to eSC; there are a lot of FAQs here for you to check out, but searching may be quicker. As we enter the Dutch version by default, first change the language to English if necessary. Click on the language switch ”EN” at the top right of the screen
Let’s take a closer look at the Search option in the top left corner of the screen. Let’s say you want to know where and when you can find your Timetable; type in “timetable” in the Search field and press the looking glass icon to start the search. Click on the looking glass icon
Now, the 2nd question in the 2 results found should give an answer to the question. Click on the correct question
So, there’s your answer. If the answer given is not satisfactory, you can ask the Education Office by clicking the ‘ASK YOUR QUESTION’ button. Click the ASK YOUR QUESTION button
As you are not logged in yet in eSC, you are taken to the guest login page. Do yourself a favour and log in first, which will save you a lot of typing, gives you a better way to keep track of your questions and for the Education Office it is easier to help you. Click the link to go to the login page
Type in your UM login name and password and click on the “lock” icon on the right. Click the icon
Logging in leads you back to the FAQ’s page. Logging in is also possible as soon as you enter eSC (by clicking the login link top left). Now, click on the link of the question under the “Ask your question” header.
Type in a subject and your question (both mandatory). If you need to send files as an attachment you can do so, too, using the Browse button. When ready, click the Send button. Your question will be sent to the Education Office and you will receive a confirmation message in the next screen. Click the Send button
As you can see your contact will get a reference number that you can use in later correspondence with the Education Office. All communication further will be via UM email for you as a customer. You will get an answer in your email, and if you reply on that it will automatically come back into the eSC system for the Education Office to deal with. But you can also keep track of your questions in eSC, when you are logged in. Click the Back button
Back in any previous screen, you can click on the MY QUESTIONS link top left in the screen. Note: This only shows when you are logged in in eSC. Click the MY QUESTIONS link
You will see a list of all questions you have ever asked the Education Office, including the answers given and the status of your question. Click on the question you want to review and you will see the entire correspondence in the white area on the screen. In the blue area details about your contact are displayed. Click the BACK button
Back in any previous screen, you can leave eSC by simply closing the Tab in your browser (or by closing the browser altogether), or by moving away from the page to another website; you will then be logged out automatically; there is no logout button. Refreshing the screen using the <F5> key will also log you out. Click hereto continue
