PCR-temporal temperature gradient gel electrophoresis (TTGE) was performed according to (Joly et al., 2010). TTGE profiles for each bacterium isolated were compared to those obtained with the intestinal contents of 15d-old conventional suckling rats. E. coli CEC15, E. faecalis CEF15, L. intestinalis CLI15, C. innocuum CCI15 and the novel Fusobacterium spp. CFV15 (arrows) were all components of the major bands observed for the intestinal contents of the suckling rats.
