Once Upon A Credit Card By: You – Write Your Name Here
My 18th Birthday • Copy a pic of a store you like below When I turned 18. I filled out an application for a credit card. I was turned down because I had no credit history yet. The person at the bank told me before I could get a Mastercard or Visa I should apply for a store card at a place I like to shop. I decided to apply for a card at_____________.
I went to the store to Apply for a card and was asked a lot of personal information like my address, phone number, employer’s name and address and of course my social security number. The worker told me that this information along with my ss# would tell me how much the store would allow me to have on my credit card. I waited anxiously and found out. I was only getting $500 to start.
I have a credit card! • Put A Picture on Left of a calendar or something related to a month. I started to think of all the things I could buy with $500. The worker told me, that the card would only be good at that specific store. A bill would come in the mail about 28 days after my purchase. This is called the grace period.
My Options For Payment • Put A Picture of $500 worth of items you could buy at the store you chose. When the bill arrives the worker said I can pay if off in full before the due date and have NO INTEREST or pay the minimum payment and have interest start adding on to the price I paid. *I knew if I used all $500 I would never have enough to pay it in full in 28 days.
Fast Forward 8 months • Put A Picture below of the • Mastercard & Visa logo. These are the 2 most popular credit cards. I applied for a Mastercardand this time I was approved. Making my payments on time showed the bank that I have good character. If I can be trusted with a store card then I can be trusted at more than one store.
