  2. TURAIDA MEDIEVAL CASTLE Turaida MedievalCastlewasbuiltin 1214 according to theBishopAlbert’sdirective. Gradualexpansionandbuildingcontinueduntilthe 16th century. ThecastlewasoneoftheRigaArchbishops’ residencies. AfterthecollapseofLivoniastates, Turaida castlebecame a privatepropertyand a partofthemanor. Afterthefirein 1776, it wasnotrenovatedbutthemanorowners’ livinghousewasbuiltinthecastleyard. Romanticcastleruinsattractedthetourists’ attentionalreadyinthe 18th/19th century.

  3. AerialCableCar Openedin 1969, it istheonlyoneaerialcable-wayintheBalticStates. It wasbuiltoncooperationbetween Sigulda andGeorgiacityChiaturaspecialists.

Gauja NationalPark Gauja National Park is the largest national park in Latvia, with an area of 917.45 km² running from north-east of Sigulda to south-west of Cēsis along the valley of the Gauja River, from which the park takes its name. The area was formerly sometimes known as the "Livonian Switzerland" and tourists started to visit this area in the 19th century. 47% of the park's territory is forest, mostly spruce and pine, but including some deciduous growth. Of the numerous lakes in the park the largest is Lake Ungurs.

Spokeparkwasopenedin 2007 in Sigulda 800th anniversarycelebration.  SpokeParkis a tribute to Sigulda typicalsouvenirs –spoke (walking-stick). Formorethan 200 years, spokeinholiday-makers spend a walkin Gauja ancientvalley.

  6. GŪTMAŅA (Gutmana) CAVE ThebiggestinternalerosioncaveintheBalticStates. It startedformingbefore 10 000 yearswhenaftertheIceAgethewaterstreamsgnawedthrough a sandstonerock. It isanancientcultsiteaswellasprotectedgeologicalobject. Height – 10 m, width - 12 m, depth – 18,8 m. It isfamouswiththeinscriptionsonthecavewalls.

  7. Ferriswheel It is a niceridewithbeautifulviewonvalleyofRiver Gauja.

  8. VELNALA (DEVIL’S) CAVE • It was formed approximately before 10 000 years. A gate into the cave is 8 m above the Gauja level. It is an old cult site with many ancient legends and tales related to the cave. Direct admittance to the cave was forbidden in 1980 due to sandstone rocks erosion. It is well seen from the opposite bank of the River Gauja. Height - 4,7 m, width - 7 m, depth - 40 m.

  9. Dainu hill • One of identification symbols of Turaida Museum Reserve is Dainu Hill – sculpture garden dedicated to Latvian folklore. It was established in 1985 in honor of Krisjanis Barons (1835 – 1923) who collected and systematizes folksongs. Some years later political changes in Soviet Union and Latvia began. Dainu Hill became the symbol of national independence. 

  10. DAUDI WATERFALL ThethirdbiggestwaterfallinLatvia. Height - 2,4 m, width - 1,5 - 2,5 m.

  11. WIND BELL SCULPTURE Sculpturemadeby I. Berga hasbeenopenedin 2007 near thebusstationon Pils Street. Eightwindbellssymbolizeeightcenturiesin Sigulda history.

  12. Tarzan Adventure Park Sigulda Adventure Park is a place for active recreation which includes various original open-air activities. The Park is located in Sigulda, in the territory of the Gauja National Park. The tobogganing track has been open to public for 3 seasons and it is the fastest and longest track in the Baltics and the only one of this kind, similar to American roller coasters. Tarzan park includes almost 80 different obstacles, which are located in trees at different heights, up to 30m above the ground. In total, there are 8 routes in Tarzan park.
