Oregon State Standards • Literacy: • EL.04.RE.20 Identify and or summarize sequence of events, main ideas, facts, supporting details, and opinions in informational and practical selections. • Social Studies: • SS.05.GE.07 Understand how physical environments are affected by human activities. • Art: • AR.05.HC.03 Describe how works of art from various history periods reflect the artist’s environment, society, and culture.
Learning Objectives • Students will be able to identify ways that they can conserve water. • Students will be able to participate in a water clean-up simulation to identify how to clean and take care of water. • Students will be able to identify ways that they can protect the earth’s water supply from pollution. • Students will be able to state in their own words the importance of water in today’s society. • Students will be able to Identify bodies of water and describe the groups of people that have relied on them.
