MEETING 18 – 21 SEPTEMBER 2013 PORTUGAL
LET’S CREATE BY RECYCLING
ITALIAN ART LAB LET’S MAKE A KITE
In our institute there are 6 pre-primary schools. Theese schools made a common project named ”Where the kite flies” some years ago. The project started when a letter was delivered to the school. It was written by an elf named VENTOSO. He had lost his friend KITE and he asked to the children if they knew something about it. THE ELF VENTOSO HIS FRIEND KITE
18 MARZO 2009 TEATRO COMUNALE DI CINIGIANO Per il progetto di continuità orizzontale tra le scuole dell’Infanzia dell’Istituto Comprensivo di Civitella Paganico i bambini raccontano INTERPRETI Dove vola l'aquilone I BAMBINI DEL VENTO DI TRAMONTANA (dalla scuola dell’Infanzia di Campagnatico) I BAMBINI DEL VENTO DI MAESTRALE (dalla scuola dell’Infanzia di Cinigiano) I BAMBINI DEL VENTO DI LEVANTE (dalla scuola dell’Infanzia di Paganico) I BAMBINI DEL VENTO DI LIBECCIO (dalla scuola dell’Infanzia di Monticello) I BAMBINI DEL VENTO DI PONENTE (dalla scuola dell’Infanzia di Sasso D’Ombrone) I BAMBINI DEL VENTO DI SCIROCCO (dalla scuola dell’Infanzia di Civitella Paganico) Children of each school chose a wind (the winds in Italian have special names: Tramontana, Maestrale, Levante, Libeccio, Ponente, Scirocco). Children imagined a meeting between the elf and his friend. They invented a story about a kite and performed the story using different tecnics, materials and tools. They made a book. It was arranged a meeting between all schools at the theatre in order to show all the works.
An expert came to school and helped the children to make a kite. He taught to create kites using paper, fabric and plastic bags.
At the end of the project we went to the seashore to fly our kites
Our project became famous!! They published an article on a local newspaper. Since Italian children enjoyed this activity we have arranged it for you and your students
