OUTSOURCINGNO JOKE! • Outsourcing is no joke and will put 14 million white collar jobs on the cutting block. • NBC show Outsourced makes light of the problem which has effected millions
Disadvantages • Puts millions of Americans jobs at risk of being eliminated • Decreases the Quality of products that you can purchase
IT Jobs • IT jobs have been the most effected job field • These jobs are the easiest to ship over seas due to the little amount of person to person contact.
Where is all the money going? Accounting and other jobs dealing with money have been easy targets for outsourcing. No matter what language you speak it all comes down to dollars and cents.
Bring Our Jobs BACK! • Chrysler has started campaigns to try and bring jobs back to the USA • Slogans such as “Imported from Detroit”
Outsourcing Opportunities • Outsourcing provides means of income to U.S. workers. • Companies with needs for certain skills are going to websites likes oDesk.com and hiring people in the U.S. as consultants on their projects.
Advantages • Outsourcing has many advantages to large corporations. • Some of the advantages are cost savings, staffing levels, and focus • Outsourcing products tend to cost less to the consumer
