  11. Lecture - Mr. Ray Gregg • Meets once per week • GC 5114 • 8:50 or 1:30 • Attend another to make up for one missed • Assign seats on Monday

  12. Discussion Group • Meets twice per week in GC 3B16 • 7 sections scheduled TR or WF • Listed at back of room, on VISION, and on class web site • Attend another to make-up for one missed • Seats assigned in 1st group next week

  13. Labs • Student assistants give individual help with homework • Meet 10 x per week in GC 3B16 • Schedule in syllabus, at back of room, on VISION, and on class web site • Prefer you attend the time for which you are registered • May attend as many other times as you would like

  14. Labs • Attendance taken on first 3 rows • No attendance on row 4 • Attend another to make-up for one missed (no limit) • 80% on test rule

  19. Grading Procedures(from syllabus) • 500 total points possible • will drop lowest 100 points* • *exception for homework minimum • no make-up exams

  27. Homework Minimum • must achieve 60 points (100 possible) for HW AND pop quizzes • Best 5 quizzes = 50 points possible • if not met, nothing is dropped; average is based on 500 points

  29. Importance of HW • should be highest -- not lowest grade • help available in labs, from peers, and teachers • Homework will help you • understand material in class, • perform better on quizzes and exams, • retain more
