  1. Stanley BR89 Hydraulic Breaker

  2. Chisel Bit Breaker 1 1/8” Ground Rod Driver Asphalt Bit Moil Bit

  3. Nameplate and Tags • Flow and pressure sticker- Never exceed the flow and pressure levels • Closed Center Sticker- Never use this tool on an open center circuit • Safety Tag- Lists the safety instructions • All tags and stickers must be legible at all time

  4. Store breaker in clean dry place Use breaker in appropriate size job Keep bits sharp Never operate tool without a bit Supply hoses have minimum working pressure 2500psi Tool repair should be done by qualified personnel Couplers must be kept clean Hydraulic circuit valve must be in OFF position when coupling or uncoupling hoses Make sure relief valves are installed on pressure side Operation

  5. System should provide a flow of 7-9 gpm at operating pressure of 1500-2000psi System should not have more then 250psi backpressure measured at the tool System should have sufficient heat rejection capacity(max oil pressure140deg F) Hose size-.500 inch / 12mm up to 50 feet long Hose size -.625 inch / 12mm up to 100 feet long Hydraulic System Requirements

  6. Hydraulic power source should develop flow of 7-9gpm Relief valve set to 2100-2500psi Rotate latch on breaker foot downward Insert bit into foot and pull the latch up to lock the bit Wipe couplers with clean lint-free cloth Connect hoses from power source to tool fittings Connect return hose first and disconnect it last (avoids trapped pressure) Move circuit valve to ON position Operating Instructions

  7. Choose the correct bit Place bit firmly on surface to be broken Squeeze trigger Partially depressing trigger allows tool to run at slower speed Breaking should be done in a spiral pattern around the original hole Harder and more reinforcing wire requires smaller bits (start with a 2”bit) Sticking of the bit occurs when too large a bite is taken allowing the bit to drill into the material without fracturing it Operating Instructions

  8. Cold Weather Operation • If used in cold weather you must preheat the hydraulic oil at low engine speed • Oil temp should be at or above 50 deg F before use
