  4. What would you consider the best motivational speech you’ve ever heard?

  5. What made it good?Inspirational? Passionate? The Timing?

  6. Prepare yourself for the best motivational speech... ever(it will make you happy of yourself)

  7. Prepare yourself for the worst motivational speech... ever

  8. Mark 8:34-3834 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.

  9. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37 Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

  10. “...take up their cross and follow me.”I am sure I speak for most of us when I say this doesn’t sound very warm and fuzzy

  17. So what does it look like to “hope in the Lord?”It looks like knowing and showing Jesus.

  18. 1. Take up your Cross and Fllow(what is it that is keeping you from being all in?)(maybe it’s time to stop letting it)

  19. 2. Lose Your Life For the Sake of the Gospel(aren’t you tired of devoting yourself to trivia?)(don’t you crave being part of a big story?)

  20. 3. Re-imagine what it means to succeed(do you crave security or a chance to be generous?)(are your things and your $$ controlling you?)

  21. 4. Give Credit where Credit is due.(the world will wonder why you do what you do)(there is no shame in following Jesus)
