  2. Percent (per hundred) • Examples: • All shoes are 10% off • A standard tip is 15 % of the bill • 60% of students walk to school

  3. Who has read more? • Melissa and Erin are both reading the same mystery. Melissa has read half of the book. Erin has read 60% of it • Roger and Alex are reading different biographies. Roger has read 70% of his book. Alex has read four-fifths of his book.

  7. Problem Solving • Nicco surveyed of all the students in his class, and reported that 40% of them attend piano class after school. If his class has 25 students, how many students attend piano class after school?

  10. Closure Write the last 33 1/3 % of SHE, the last 50% of AX, the first 75% of CELL, the middle 60% of BLEND, and the last 40% of SPACE. Remember decimal, percent and fraction represent the same value.
