  2. How is a resume organized? • No set method • Usually some type of an outline format • Try to avoid paragraphs and a lot of writing

  3. How is a resume organized? • Traditionally… • Name & personal info • Objective • Education • Experience • Skills, training, etc.. • References

  4. What styles and methods to use? • Entry level positions • basic format and style • not too flashy • make it nice and neat • 1 page maximum

  5. What styles and methods to use? • Career advancement positions • college graduate, several yrs. exp. • use more elegant, catchy format • you want your resume to be noticed • try paper of different color shades

  6. What styles and methods to use? • Executive level positions • highly skilled, high dollar jobs • use most elegant and fancy formats • can use 2-3 pages if necessary • definitely use elegant style paper

  7. Who do I send it to? • Usually the address on the job announcement unless you have spoken directly to someone doing the hiring. If you have, send it to them • TYPE THE ADDRESS ON THE ENVELOPE !!!!!!
