SUMMARY: • Alex Rider’s father dies in a so called “car crash”. • Alex goes to a junkyard and finds his dad’s car full of bullet holes. • Alex is drafted into the U.K. M16. • Alex goes to Herod’s factory to stop the manufacturing of the stormbreakers. • Alex is almost shot by Herod, but is saved when Herod is shot by YassenGregorovich, a professional assassin for hire.

  3. CHARACTERS: • Alex Rider • A determined teenager • Wants to prove himself to M16 • Curious figure who is often suspicious of others. • Herod Sayle-Determined to wipe out the children of the U.K. to wipe out future generations.

  4. CONFLICT: • Alex Rider has to stop Herod Sayle from gassing the school children of the U.K. with his stormbreakers. Google.com

  5. SETTING: • The setting is in the U.K. at Herod Sayle’s factory. G00gle.com

  6. MY OPINION?: • In my opinion, I love this book, because of all the action and suspense. You are always left wondering.

  7. THEME/S: • The themes of the book would be determination in the face of danger. • Seeing the “big picture”.

  8. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO… • People who like reading about spies, undercover missions, or mysteries. • People who love adventure and action. • People who love suspense.

THE GENRE? • Realistic fiction. • Why?-Because there are many modern aspects of the book, and many things in the book relate to the modern world, and could happen at any time in the future, near or far. • This book describes a lot of modern technology, sometimes even sounding a little futuristic.
