Achievements to date: De-centralisation of JNA, completed training in 5 districts (more than 100 participants), Better communications with communities, message library, Launching of MPP process (diagnostic survey, capacity building in financing, civ-mil, reporting), Review of Mahasen response: “are we doing enough?”
Achievements to date: Finalisation of Education in Emergencies framework, Finalisation of Early Recovery guidelines, District focal points trainings conducted by Food Sec, nutrition and WASH clusters, Establishment of Information Management Working Group, Establish district coordination in Coxs Bazar, Completion of 4W matrix,
Pending points for 2014: Implement recommendations of Mahasen lessons learned, Finalise next phase of JNA project, Timely approval of FD6, Support de-centralised coordination, i.e. Coxs Bazar, Integrate Child Protection within existing coordination structure, Ensure Civ-Mil nature of DREE, strengthen earthquake preparedness, Fast-tracking customs in times of disasters.
Support from LCG DER co-chairs: • Endorse inclusion of Child Protection cluster, • Support extension of JNA Project, • Consider signing Model Agreement on Customs in Times of Disasters, • Advocacy for timely approval of projects (i.e. FD6 x FC1).
