Yingelishi, as a work of poetry and performance art seeks to challenge the historical reception of Chinese-English Interlanguages by reframing the “accent” as prosody and revealing a network of infinitely reflective and suggestive meanings.

But how can one extend a work of interlangauge poetics to actually affect languages at scale?

拼英Pinying: a mobile dictionary of 130,000 English words, each with an interactive Sinophonic English map launches globally this week.
Experimental poetics is experimental: Hypothesis:Poetics can scale by combining of self-aware artifactualization and utility driven applications. 拼英 (Pinying) goes live this week on the Apple App Store with a team of 10 OU student interns from across the humanities, engineering, computer science, graphic design, and business through the support OU’s CCEW and OTD.
