Ingredients: ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Basmati rice: 1 cup Sundew refined sunflower oil: 2 tablespoons Thinly sliced large onion: 1 Peeled and diced carrots: 2 Finely chopped green chilli: 1 Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon Garam masala: 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoons Finely chopped, fresh cilantro leaves Method: 1. First, rinse the rice under water until the water runs clear on the rice. Now soak the rice for about 30 minutes. 2. Take a large pan or pot, add the Sundew refined sunflower oil over medium heat, and add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. 3. Now add the cumin seeds to the pan and let them sizzle for a few seconds. Then add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilli and sauté them for some time. 4. Add the diced carrots to the pan and cook for a few minutes until they start to soften. 5. Now add the rice to the pan, along with turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, and salt. Stir the mixture together gently to coat the rice and vegetables with the spices. 6. Now pour in 2 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil. Once it starts boiling, lower the flame, cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid, and let it simmer for about 15–20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed. 7. Now the tasty and favourable carrot biryani is ready to be served.
