Study Abroad Foundation Founded by the Institute for Study Abroad, IFSA-Butler: A non-profit organization which was founded in 1988 and is today a network of over 200 universities in 13 countries. Every year approximately 4,000 American and Canadian students participate in the IFSA-Butler’s study abroad programs. Step 1 Choose a University or College 選擇適合的 學校 SAF Programs Application Process Step 1- Choose a University or College選擇適合的學校 Upon deciding to go on an SAF program, students will need to select 1-3 possible host universities to attend.  學生可選擇最多3所海外大學進行申請 We strongly recommend that you discuss your options with SAF advisors . There are 3 ways to receive counseling: 建議學生透過SAF諮詢服務，確定適合的學校，可利用 Make an appointment during a campus visit 校園說明會 Call our office at : (0)4-2472-8677電話預約諮詢 Email us at: info@SAFTaiwan.org來信詢問 *Note: The counselling is free and no application fee is due until you choose your schools and decide to apply. 請注意：SAF 提供免費的課程諮詢與申請協助服務。

Step 2 Apply to the SAF 準備申請 SAF Programs Application Process Step 2- Apply to the SAF準備申請 Our Study Abroad Program Application provides:申請資料提供 ﹡ complete admissions guidelines申請說明 ﹡ outlines all required supplementary documentation, and 申請文件規定 ﹡ explains any relevant application fees and enrollment deposits. 入學需知及學費說明 An advisor will look your application over to make sure that the university chosen can meet your academic needs. If he or she thinks that another school might provide a better fit, the advisor will call or email to further discuss your options. 課程審核人員在收到申請文件後，會仔細檢閱相關文件，以確保申請者申請權益。若有更適合的學校建議，SAF諮詢人員將立即通知申請者，以便做適當的課程安排。 ﹡A NT$ 3,000 non-refundable application fee is due with the submission of your application. 遞交申請資料時，申請者須繳交 NT$3,000的申請費用。

Step 3 Complete your Application File 完成申請 手續 SAF Programs Application Process Step 3- Complete your Application File 完成申請手續 In addition to our paper application, the SAF required additional materials from each student including: 除了填寫申請表格外，申請者必須檢附以下文件完成申請手續： ﹡An official transcript for all college and university work completed to date. 在校成績單 ﹡TOEFL or IELTS examination scores 托福或IELTS成績 ﹡Program approval form 課程同意書 ﹡Faculty recommendation form 師長推薦信 ﹡Financial guarantee letter (Affidavit of Support) 家長同意書 ﹡Bank statement 財力證明 ﹡Copy of the passport information page 護照影本 Internship candidates may be required to complete an additional internship application. 欲參加實習課程的申請者，必須填妥實習申請表。

Step 4 Acceptance 接受入學 SAF Programs Application Process Step 4- Acceptance接受入學 1) SAF submits the application to your top 1 or 2 choices SAF依學生志願審查申請資格 2) University or College makes decision ﹡Acceptance decisions can take from two to eight weeks. 每所學校審核速度不一，申請錄取結果通知約需2-8週時間 3) SAF reports decision of acceptance to student ﹡ As soon as SAF receives decision of acceptance it will forward the information with an acceptance package to the student SAF一旦收到申請者的錄取通知，將以最快的速度通知學生並寄發入學文件資料袋

SAF Programs Application Process Step 5 Program Contract 辦理入學手續 Step 5- Program contract辦理入學手續 Once a SAF host university responds with an acceptance, the SAF will send the student a complete acceptance packet: 入學文件資料袋包含以下重要文件： ﹡An official letter of acceptance from SAF入學接受回函 ﹡A student program contract課程合約 ﹡Medical needs questionnaire體檢項目表 ﹡Housing preference form宿舍申請表 Students must sign and return the program contract and enrollment deposit (NT$ 50,000 applied to program fee), to secure their place on the SAF program.  申請者必須簽回課程合約並繳交課程訂金 (NT$50,000) ，確保入學名額。 Upon receipt of a signed program contract SAF will send students the necessary documents and directions to apply for a student visa. 在收到上述文件後，SAF將寄發證明文件協助學生辦理簽證。
