University Support: • The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAHuntsville) offers • degrees in biology, biochemistry, molecular & cell biology, biology sciences, physics, marine science, chemistry, chemical physics and environmental biology • UAHuntsville has masters and doctorate programs in biotechnology science and engineering • The UAHuntsville laboratory for structural biology offers an excellent x-ray diffraction facility and molecular biology facility for protein expression. It is part of the Alabama Structural Biology Consortium • UAHuntsville, Alabama A&M University and Calhoun Community College all partner with BizTech, an incubator for high-tech companies • Alabama A&M University in Huntsville has a masters program in biology as well as masters and doctorate programs in food science and plant and soil science. • Calhoun Community College offers associate degrees in • pre-medicine, pre-nursing, and pre-pharmacology with courses • in biotechnology, biology, chemistry, physics, and natural science
