ATP and Roles • ATP (Acceptance test process) : This process involves series of standard agreed tests to establish the following with respect to the LAN infrastructure deployed at CBEC offices : • Verification of BoM • Installation Quality Checks • Functionality Check of the equipment installed • LAN connectivity and integration with WAN, (if installed)
Roles • HP: Hewlett-Packard is the Lead Service Provider implementing the CBEC LAN Project • PwC: PricewaterhouseCoopers is the Project Manager for the project and would carry out the Acceptance Test process. PwC/their outsourced representatives from CMS would be visiting all sites to conduct the tests. • Lead Nodal Officer ( in charge of the building) is expected to facilitate the acceptance process and sign off on the Acceptance document immediately after completion. He would coordinate with other co-located CBEC offices to facilitate ATP on scheduled dates.
Process and Support • Prior information would be provided to lead Nodal Officer ( 3 days in advance) regarding scheduling of ATP. Changes in the proposed dates may be minimised to enable overall adherence to project schedule . • ATP would be carried out by PWC and HP representative in presence of Lead Nodal Officer or his nominee (s) ( since adherence to schedule is necessary). • The team visiting for ATP from PWC and HP would brief the lead nodal officer / nominee (s) about processes, documentation and steps. • Any queries or clarification by CBEC officer during ATP process would be answered by local PWC and HP teams .Other queries may be escalated immediately to central teams of M/s PWC/ HP. • ATP activities may take one day or more ( according to the size of the location). Local assistance would be requested accordingly.
Process and Support contd…. • During ATP operations of various products would be demonstrated and on-site training provided by HP. • IT in-charge of the building should also be part of the process. If possible electrical in-charge may also be included. • Lead Nodal officer needs to sign-off on the test results and ATP documents. Any minor observations may be noted at time of sign off on the ATP document itself. • A copy of ATP report would be provided to Nodal officer for his reference and records.
General Instructions regarding Product Testing ( Details as per ATP document) • Thin Client • Check for Physical damage, if any and record . • Switch “ON” the thin client • Enter User Name and Password provided by HP Personnel • Check for application access e.g. ACES. • Printing through Network laser/line Printer and/or directly connected printer (deskjet) • Check for physical damage, if any and record • Switch “ON” the Printer • Create a test page in Open office installed in Thin Client • Fire a Print out on the Printer configured
Product Testing contd…. • Scanner • Check for Physical damage, if any and record • Switch “ON” the Scanner • Take any document scan and save the document • Open the document to verify if the scanning was performed properly • Print Server • Check for physical damage if any and record. • Switch “on” the server • Check general functionality • Simultaneously Fire Printouts from more than one Thin Client to test the functionality of Print Queue.
Product Testing contd…. • Power Equipment • Different sets of acceptance process has been formulated for sites • With DG and UPS • With UPS only • The appropriate test process is to be chosen and conducted. • The test process is designed to establish the following : • Out put voltage of DG and UPS at various stages. • UPS Battery backup time of 15 minutes. • Un-interrupted power supply change over. • Auto start/shut down of DG in case of power failure. • Manual start/shut down of DG.
