  1. Cell Analogy Project By: Jesus Membreno & Josue Torrez

  2. A Nucleus and a Mayor Nuclei and Mayors have a lot of similarities. A nucleus is the same as a mayor because the mayor tells the city what to do. The nucleus also tells the cell what to do. The mayor, like the nucleus makes important decisions for the cell or city. That’s why the nucleus is like a mayor. Nuclei and a mayor of a city are very different. One difference between a nucleus and a mayor is that a mayor is a human and a nucleus is a part of a cell. Another difference is that a mayor isn't an organelle. The third difference is that the mayor has arms and legs. Those are some of the differences between a nucleus and a mayor.

  3. Cell Wall and Wall of a City A cell wall and a city wall are the same. One similarity is that they both protect the city. A second reason why a cell wall is the same as a city wall is that they are both strong. A last reason why they're the same is that they both separate the city or cell from the outside. That is why the cell wall and a city wall are the same. A city wall is very different from a cell wall. A cell wall is different from a cell wall because it is made of cellulose. A city wall is made of either cement or brick. A cell wall lets some things in and the city wall doesn’t. That's why a cell wall and a city wall are different.

  4. Golgi Apparatus and a Post Office There are many similarities between a golgi apparatus and the post office. Both the post office and the golgi apparatus send things in and out of the cell or city. The proteins golgi apparatus sends are like letters the post office sends. They are both important components of the cell or city. That’s why they are similar. There are a lot of important differences between a golgi apparatus and a post office. One is that the post office sends letters. Another difference is that the golgi apparatus sends proteins and other materials. The last reason why they are different is that the post office only sends letters with stamps on them and the golgi apparatus sends them without stamps or anything. Those were some of the difference between a golgi apparatus and a post office.

  5. Endoplasmic reticulum and a Highway An endoplasmic reticulum and a highway have many things in common. One way that an endoplasmic reticulum is the same as a highway is that they both transport materials. Another reason is that they both have a rough side. They also both have a smooth part. Those are some of the things they have in common. An endoplasmic reticulum is very different from a highway. One reason why they are different is because the highway transports cars. Another reason why they are different is that the endoplasmic reticulum transports proteins. Another reason is that the ER is rough cause of ribosome's and the highway is rough because of the cement. Those are some of the differences between the endoplasmic reticulum and a highway.

  6. Ribosome's and a Nutritional Center Ribosome's and nutritional centers have many things in common. The first thing that they have in common is that they both provide proteins for the cell or city. Another reason they are the same is that they both help the city or cell function better. The third reason why they are similar is because they both have a boss. There are many differences between ribosome's and a nutritional centers. One difference is that ribosome’s produce the proteins and nutritional centers sell them. Nutritional centers are not made by a nucleus. Ribosome’s aren’t made by the city. Those are some of the things that they don’t have in common.

  7. Cytoplasm and Cement Streets There are many similarities between cytoplasm and cement streets. One way they are the same is because they both hold everything in place. The second reason why they are the same is that they are both a place where things can move around. They are also the majority of the cell or city. There are many differences between cytoplasm and cement streets. Cytoplasm holds organelles in place. Cement and streets hold the city together. Another reason why they are different Is that cement streets are solid and cytoplasm is like a liquid. Those are some of the differences between the two.

  8. Mitochondria and Power Plants Mitochondria and Power Plants have many similarities. One similarity is that they both make energy for the cell. Another way they are the same is that they both have living things inside of them. A third reason is that they both don’t need the sun to make energy. That’s why they are similar. Power plants and mitochondria are very different. One difference is that mitochondria is tiny and a factory is huge. Mitochondria has DNA in it, and a power plant doesn’t. A power plant makes some pollution and mitochondria doesn’t release any pollution. That’s why they are different
