CARBOEUROPE-IP WP 2.1222Rn Intercomparison • 222Rn ICP between UHEI and LSCE was performed 3 times (Mace Head, Gif-sur-Yvette, PUY) • 222Rn ICP between UHEI and BfS at Schauinsland several times. • 222Rn ICP between UHEI and FMI • 222Rn ICP between UHEI and ANSTO at Lutjewad within the next weeks.
We should include all labs and put together all results. • How to correct for disequilibrium between Radon and Radon daughters ? • We should have a short Radon workshop to discuss measurement / calculation /disequilibrium issue ?
terrestrial -dose rate is as proxy for 222Rn flux Szegvary, Thomas
Seasonal variation of estimated average 222Rn flux values for (a) 5° latitudinal bands and (b) 5° longitudinal bands
Observed and simulated 222Rn concentrations (with TM5 atmospheric transport model) for the same period based on a standard 222Rn source term (STD) and the source term presented in this study (EU).
