SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE • Total export SHAFFE up to week 29 all destination
ISRAEL • Smaller crop in Minneolas and lemons due to January frosts. • Grapefruit and mandarin crops are up on last year’s production. • Overall similar levels as last year, approximately 600,000 tons.
CYPRUS • Climate – Situation for Cyprus is looking very difficult, severe drought and limited water for irrigation. Some areas have little/no water at all, some groves will be abandoned. • Unsure whether drop in production will be seasonal or permanent. • Early estimates indicate a 30% fall in production.
