Welcome to the toy factory. We are going to inform you about all the different types of energy that are incorporated with making toys in our workshop.
I’m Ethan, the first elf in our group. I am one of the main elves who works the toy manufacturing area of the toy factory. We use the different types of energy to make our factory run as smooth as snow. The three types of energy I use the most are: mechanical, chemical, and electrical energy.
We show mechanical energy when we exert ourselves over our conveyer belt and push ourselves to the limit. Also, before the toys are shipped to Santa’s sleigh, I am in charge of testing the toys. Sadly, we resort to batteries as our main power source. These batteries are a form of chemical energy that we found to be successful.
We also have complex devices we use to make toy producing as quick and efficient as possible. There are constant waves of electricity flowing through the factory’s devices. This uses a large amount of electrical energy on a daily basis.
Hi, I’m Emily, Santa's personal assistant. I am responsible for all of Santa's wants and needs. Thermal Energy is involved with cooking , and powering the generator. The heat that is produced by the generator is also used when cooking the food.
The Northern Lights (Radiant Energy) are our only natural light source due to the lack of Nuclear Energy with the sun not showing itself for six months.
Hello, my name is Ella the Elf, and I help drive the sleigh. The main two types of energy involved in this part of the factory are Potential and Kinetic. Potential Energy is used when the sleigh rises up into the air . The reindeer are “running” and power is building up. Eventually, the sleigh builds up enough energy to fly. This is when Kinetic Energy is used (it is when the sleigh has the most energy).
Our toy factory uses the Law of Conservation of Energy. No new energy is made or destroyed in the making of the toys. The energy just keeps converting to different types to be used over and over again.
We hope you enjoyed the tour of Santa’s Toy Factory! Come back soon And remember, the Elves are watching you! Be nice, not naughty…
