Create Words and Sentences • For each root find one word that utilizes the root, define those words, and identify the context that shows the roots meanings. • For each word you create, use that word in a sentence. Be sure to underline the word and the context clues that show the word’s meaning.
Paint the Picture Example- Ornithologist A person who studies birds: • For each word you created on slide three, find an image (i.e. drawing, google, etc.) that demonstrates the words meaning.
Extension Activity- EXPOSITORY WRITING Briefly research a well known scientist, historical figure, or celebrity of your choice. Provide a short, yet informative expository response that gives biographical information about your person of interest. This does not have to be long, but be sure to include a hook, chronological events from their life, and a conclusion in your response.
