Overview Dual Polarization Radar Upgrade Still ongoing…KSHV will not be available for Tuesday’s Severe Wx event Surrounding NWS Radars will be used to provide warning service Spotters Needed Trained Skywarn Spotters will be valuable during this event Severe Wx Event A cold front will approach the area Tuesday afternoon… and initiate severe thunderstorm activity with warm moist air ahead of it. SPC currently has all of the area in a Slight Risk Outlook… with much of Southern AR and Northern LA in a Moderate Risk Outlook. Severe Wx Possible: Damaging Winds, Tornadoes, and Large Hail National Weather Service Shreveport, Louisiana

  3. Dual Polarization Radar Upgrade • Still ongoing…A new part failed installation • New expected date of completion… Thursday January 31st (tentative) • We will use our surrounding NWS Radars to monitor and provide warning service for tomorrows event.
