Pre-installation Commisisoning • At Lab 3, all components of the CFT will be tested. • Fiber positions are surveyed. • During nesting, each cylinder is aligned to the others on CMM. • CFT arrives at DAB as a single-piece unit. • Each VLPC cassette is qualified at Lab 3 • Each lightguide is tested at ND or IU prior to shipping.
Necessary Components • Installation • Support fixtures • Installation fixtures • Fiber bundles • Installation and Commission • Cassettes • Cryostat and cryogenics plant • Electronics (readout, temperature and voltage control, LEDs) • Gas system • DA system • Tracking code • Examines, etc. • Pre-Installation and Pre-Commissioning
Cryogenics Russ Rucinski Bob Barger • Two independent cryostats • Most material either in house or on order. • Fabrication 11/4/99 - 4/7/00 • Installation 4/10/00 - 4/28/00 • Shakedown 4/28/00 - 6/12/00 • Prototype installed and running at Lab 3 7/15/97.
