9. 9.10 How did WWII affect people living in the USA? USA fought in WWII: December 8, 1941 – August 15, 1945 Rationing – allowed only a small amount of something, usually during war. Gas was rationed in NYC during Hurricane Sandy – cars with even license plates could only get gas on certain days.
