The Tiger Rising By Kate DiCamillo Ally
The main characters were This story took place… (setting) Florida, The Kentucky star, school, The school bus, and the woods. • Sistine, Rob, Norton, Billy, The Tiger, Robs dad, Willie May, and Beauchamp.
I thought the biggest problem was: The problem was solved when Rob let Sistine let the tiger go, but Willie May and Robs dad shot then was tiger! Every one was sad. That Sistine wanted to let the tiger go, but Rob did not. Rob did not because Willie May told him a story about when she had a bird and she let it go, she never saw the beautiful bird anymore.
At the beginning… Rob is getting bullied on the bus. What Billy and Norton Themoger do not know is that Rob has just seen a tiger in the woods. A new girl gets on the bus, her name is Sistine.
Then, Rob had to leave school early on account of the rash on his legs. Sistine brought Rob his home work that night. Rob told her about the tiger. Sistine asked Rob if she could see the tiger.
Next, Beauchamp tells Rob to feed the tiger. Little does Beauchamp know, Rob has already seen the tiger with Sistine. Robs dad finds the meat and Rob hast to tell him about the tiger. Rob tells Willy May about the tiger and she tells him about her pet bird she let go and never saw again.
At the end, Rob agrees to let the tiger go. He and Sistine happily let the tiger go, but there happiness soon fades. They hear a gun shoot pierce throw the air. Robs dad and willy May had just “saved” there life. They had killed the tiger. Sistine thought it was her fault but rob was thoughtless. They both turned there happy day into a sad one.
The best part of the story was when Rob let his feelings out (opened his suitcase) and let his memories return because he was happy for once and his spirits lifted.
I didn’t like When Buchamp told Rob he might kill the tiger.
