  2. What Are Beauty Pageants ? • Americanized Children Beauty pageants consist of children with heavy Make up and very large hair and a variety of different clothing where they are being judged of looks and personality. Created to find “The most beautiful child” usually up to the age 17.

  3. Are They Harmful ? • During the 1930s the children's beauty pageant was formed to find the “most beautiful child” but isn't everyone beautiful in their own way . So why make one child feel more higher than the other? I believe that beauty pageants are harmful because they are negative in my opinion. There are a lot of perverts that enjoy the idea of seeing underage girls dressed up inappropriate. These parents are giving them something too look at with the provocative clothing and overdone make up .

  4. Cons Of Children Beauty Pageants Just like everything else there are pros and cons for everything even children beauty pageants. Beauty pageants are supposed to be fun but most of the time the parents enjoy it more then the children. Beauty pageants may help build up a Childs self esteem and it may also bring it down. Its designed to change the children's original image . Don’t get me wrong some children like it but there are others who it makes feel that their natural looks aren't good enough to compete. And also if they don’t win they feel low and unhappy that their looks weren't good enough.

  5. Pros of children beauty pageants The beauty pageants may help children by helping their speech skills and being able to speak and perform in front of large crowds . These children may also make lifelong friends. It teaches them to be gracious winners and good losers. and just for competing the girls are given small gifts such as toys candy and trophies.
