Fellowship Reports • Two reports: • Job information • Benefit enrollment information • Both reports can be run for: • all benefit-eligible students in a department • a single employee
Fellowship Reports, Cont. • Use the AsOfDate • Always run before you upload • Helps determine which transaction to use in loading job information • Run after you upload • You can validate the correct data was loaded
Upload Transactions • Three Transactions Available • Enroll: Use this to load a new fellowship or reactivate a former benefit-eligible Fellowship for your department • End Fel Elig: Use this either to extend or end early a current Fellowship student • Shortcode Change: Change the shortcode for a current Fellowship student
Upload Transactions • Helpful Hint: To extend a Fellowship and change the shortcode, enter two transactions for the one student on the spreadsheet: • End Fel Elig to extend the appointment • Shortcode Change to update the shortcode • Both transactions can be listed on the same spreadsheet
Upload Transactions • Helpful Hint: Upload process cannot be used for certain transactions: • New enrollments older than 90 days from the current date • Terminating Fellowship greater than 30 days retroactive cannot be completed by using the Upload process.
Upload Transactions • Helpful Hint, Continued: • Contact the Benefits Transaction Team for retroactive enrollment or terminations • Helpful Hint: Uploaded appointments must be a minimum of 4 continuous months to be benefit eligible
Upload Error Message • Error Messages • If an error occurs, a spreadsheet is attached to the e-mail message with details
Student’s Responsibility • Read their @umich.edu e-mail • If @umich.edu e-mail not used, enter forwarding e-mail address on the X500 • Check their junk mail • Review address and update if needed
Student’s Responsibility • Make sure their address is always up-to-date • Watch for insurance cards from Blue Care Network and SXC Health Solutions, Inc.
Health Enrollment Requirements • Social Security Number is required for health plan enrollment • Health ID cards are sent to address on file when initial enrollment is sent • Address changes are sent on the weekly enrollment files, but new cards are not distributed when addresses change
Need More Information? • Students should contact the HR/Payroll Service Center for questions regarding their benefit enrollment and eligibility • Student should contact Blue Care Network for specific health insurance coverage questions
