ELECTRIC DRIVES A TYPICAL CONFIGURATION • A modern electric drive [1 - 8] capable of controlled variable speed is made of some important parts (figure.2.1) such as: • the electric motor; • the power electronic converter (PEC); • the electric and motion sensors; • the drive controller; • the command interface.
