Health and Kinesiology continued… • Potential Careers: • KINE (PEK option) teaching and athletic training • KINE (AEP option) cardiac rehabilitation, corporate or private fitness • KINE (CHO option) health/patient education in government or private health agency, clinical setting, non-profit organization • SPMT (SPI or SPN option) sport marketing and promotion, event management, facility management • KINE (DSC option) graduates have the tools to teach, choreograph and direct in high schools, private studios, performance groups, and dance/drill teams. • Grad School Opportunities: • KINE (BEP) students can get prerequisites for medical school • KINE (MTB) students can get prerequisites for physical therapy school, physician assistant or dental school • HLTH (AHO) students can get the prerequisites for physical therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, optometry, and physician assistant • GPR required for change of major: 2.5 GPR for all majors except Sport Management which requires a 2.0 GPR • GPR required to remain in good standing: 2.5 GPR for all majors except Sport Management which requires a 2.0 GPR • Procedure/timeline to change major: Varies per program.
